How to Download: Federal Student Aid Data | ‘MyStudentData Download’ File

The National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) is the U.S. Department of Education's database for federal aid. It will provide you with a comprehensive overview of your loans via the 'MyStudentData Download’ File.

In order to obtain your ‘MyStudentData Download’ File to return to your Financial Coach for the Student Loan Crusher Care Plan, please complete the following instructions.

Step 1: Go to Studentaid.gov

Step 2: Click the “LOG IN FOR YOUR LOAN INFO” Button

Step 3: Click the “LOG IN TO MY FEDERAL STUDENT AID” Button

Step 4: Log in using your FSA ID

Step 5: Read and accept the disclaimer

Step 6: Scroll down to bottom of webpage to section that reads, "Need to download your federal student aid data?"

Step 7: Click "Download Speadsheet"

Step 8: Confirm

Step 9: Download file in .csv format

Step 10: Upload this file in MySmartPath
